This page will be updated throughout the month The start of the New Year brings with it our annual health and behavioral assessments for all our animals, along with plans for their long-term care. While we would love to keep all animals that arrive to us for the entirety of their lives, this can be an unrealistic expectation in situations where personal obligations, facility logistics, staffing, and overhead costs of maintenance can fluctuate. With recent changes to our facility's capacity and outreach program abilities, we are looking to find appropriate homes for some of the animals that have found their way to us, as well as find "retirement homes" for several of the long-time resident ambassadors who are no longer suitable for life in the spotlight. If you're looking to add a new reptile to your family please consider adopting one of these amazing creatures. We are more than happy to assist with training, habitat setup, and other questions you may have to help ease the transition of these animals into your home.

Retiring Ambassador "Puppy" Argentine Tegu = Female, approximately 7yrs old. This is not the first time we’ve attempted to rehome her. Although Tegus are known for their curious and sometimes friendly personalities, Puppy is not big on “cuddling” and prefers to be left alone. She can be very defensive of her enclosure, and is incredibly food-motivated requiring caution during feeding time. She does calm down if allowed to free-roam, and will accept being touched/approached outside of her enclosure. She requires a strong and experienced keeper to handle her safely, which limits who in our household can manage her. She will come with a 6’x2’x2’ PVC enclosure with sliding glass doors and heat/uvb lamps. An enclosure size upgrade should be considered for long-term housing. To adopt: Please reach out to me with an inquiry. You may be asked to complete a short application to help determine us whether the animal you are interested in is the right fit for your home, and we will discuss any applicable fees or transportation options during your application process. Please note that we only adopt animals to Vermont or New Hampshire residents while adhering to all necessary regulations related to transfer of animals. If the species you are interested in requires a permit, we will require proof of permit and can provide veterinary health certificate upon request. Local pickup or delivery can be arranged as needed. WE DO NOT SHIP animals.
